The Sinai is a terrific place to go mountain biking. The asphalt roads and desert tracks around Sharm el Sheikh have something to offer every biker.
The length of our bike tours ranges from 15–200 kilometres and they can be booked as excursions lasting half a day, a full day or more. With excursions lasting more than one day, accommodation is provided either in the desert or in a hotel outside Sharm el Sheikh, depending on which you prefer.
The asphalt roads are extremely well suited for longer tours, such as, for example, to Dahab and Saint Catherine, as well as for all kinds of endurance training using a bike. The choice ranges from roads with low gradients to ones that lead from sea level to heights of approximately 1,600 metres.

The roads are in good condition, though you always have to reckon with the possibility of encountering holes, glass, oil and other obstacles on the route.
The desert tracks in the Sinai offer all the pleasures of nature, combined with pure adventure. Most of them are tracks that are also used by the cross-country vehicles, motorcycles and pick-ups owned by the Bedouins here. Thanks mainly to this, the tracks have a fairly firm subsurface and can therefore be ridden on with mountain bikes. Care needs to be taken in the vicinity of acacia trees, as long, sharp thorns are often to be found in their surroundings. Partly off-road, partly on sandy tracks, the experience here is one of a sparse, yet fascinating desert landscape that stands in stark contrast to the luxuriant vegetation in the oases and to the beaches on the Red Sea. After an introduction to cycling in the desert and a little practice, the opportunity is there for committed mountain bikers to enjoy the endless expanse of the Sinai, with all its mountains and wadis.
Alongside pure bike touring, we offer the following excursions:
Given the extensive selection of routes and activities, the descriptions can only be taken as indicative. In addition, because activities can be combined with each other at will, the choice of route and programme make-up take place when you’re here, on site, based on personal consultation.
